ABOUT MATT

Matt Stanger wears many hats - he is a campdrafter, business owner, horse breeder and trainer, husband and dad. Raised in the Charters Towers region, Matt has spent his entire life around horses and has earned a reputation as one of the most respected campdrafters in the field.

Today, Matt competes in events across Queensland and New South Wales. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous accolades including the 2019,
2021, 2022, 2024 Cape York Challenger title, 2024 Horse of The North title, and most recently, the 2025 Nutrien Equine Classic Campdraft title.

Matt and his amazing wife Katrina are proud owners of ‘Matt Stanger Performance Horses.’ When he’s not competing in the arena, Matt is dedicated to training, breeding and working with his own horses and those of his customers.  

We are excited to welcome Matt back to the team for the 6th year is a row and can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for him!
