Warehouse Picker & Packer

Retail | Permanent-Part Time | Charters Towers, QLD

We are currently searching for a permanent part-time warehouse picker & packer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, packing and dispatching online orders. You will also contribute to efficient warehouse operations and overall business objectives. This position is based in Charters Towers, QLD.

Hours:

• Every Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:00am-2:00pm.
• Additional hours available during peak periods.
  
  

Key responsibilities & competencies:

As a warehouse picker & packer you will be responsible for:

• Picking items accurately for online orders.
• Pack online orders securely and efficiently, ensuring items are protected for transit.
• Label and prepare parcels for dispatch with correct shipping details.
• Organise orders for courier collection and assist with daily shipping deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Assisting in training new employees, and supporting other departments or team members as necessary.
• Working collaboratively with other staff, supervisors and departments to achieve business goals.

Relevant experience & skills:

• Reliable, professional and has a positive attitude.
• A willingness to learn and dedication to accuracy.
• Previous employment in a retail or warehouse setting.
• Excellent time management, organisational & technical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Experience working collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers & higher management.
