Incorrect size belt that is incorrectly marked by maker.

Size of Dolan belts appear to be being offered for sale while such are incorrect sizes.

This is the normal and correct method for belt sizes.

Belts if measured true to size, which means an order say a size 36"/92cm that is the exact size you receive - the measurement taken from the point where the buckle and leather meet to the middle hole. It's very important to note that many pants / skirts may not be true to size, and it is recommended to you watch the below video to find your correct size.

As an example, Buckle1922 are good quality brand leather belts and like most reputable makers that follow the same rules for belts as published by that firm.
https://youtu.be/1U_Po0GhLnA

Some manufacturers even make belts from 50” to 60” but usually those in that cater for much larger persons.

A recent order provide by W Titley of a Dolan Boss Cocky belt for a size 117cm/46” belt could not even be buckled up due to incorrect size which had been stamped on the belt.
Attempts to advise Dolan of the error where the belt had been measured from the point (tongue) of the belt to the point where the buckle and leather meet was that size.
The distance to the first hole closest to the belt tongue was roughly 82mm meaning that the belt could not be worn. The true length of the belt in normal circumstance would be state as about 3 inches from the tongue to the first hole hence the buckle prong could not even be inserted into any hole of the belt let alone fit any person who needed the size to be at least about 125cm/49” just to get the buckle prong to be able to enter the first hole. That is the belt would have to be roughly 8.2cm or 3 inches longer.

When a message was sent to Dolan to report the matter they did not have the courtesy to respond.

Being of the older generation and purchasing leather belts or various brands for at least 6 decades this is the first time I have encountered such a wide variance.
As most would discover leather belts will over time stretch with natural wear but in this instance you could not even get the belt on and be able to stretch it as far as would be needed.

Legally (e.g. precedent of "Denham CJ") one could successfully argue that Dolan is not providing what it purports is the item being offered and clearly not what the purchaser stated as required..
In the circumstances W Titley would be subjected by Dolan’s approach in case as vicariously liable.

Dolan’s action or lack thereof appears to be endeavouring to avoid accountability.

It is also noted that in this instance Titley quotes the use of an irreputable agent of "Judge Me" (With China associations) which attempts to rely on California U.S.A. legislation which is totally outside the jurisdictional boundaries of this nation.
The use of "Judge Me" is therefore not accepted in any way as we have investigated it previously and found that while it proffers itself as a mediation service its practices are far from those of true mediation and instead seriously and overtly biased in favour of its clientele..

A minor issue also is seen that the courier firm chosen processing and delivery is slower and its IT application questionable.

Regrettably therefore , it is seen as appropriate to apprise W. Titley of the situation.

Geoff Quinn
